don't even get me started on how we misuse T.H.

I disagree. I know it sounds good to say run him on the wheel and give him a sweep or a screen, but the fact of the matter is Trindon is too small to play WR and he can't run in between the tackles. When he's in the game teams don't have to worry about their interior being attacked. This isn't NCAA Football 2010 for x box 360.... Charles Scott pounding opposing defenses wins football games not Trindon attacking the edges.

okay. but, getting sacked 7 times isn't going to help matters IMO. The pressure is coming to us and I'd rather take it to them, especially with the talent he's already shown.

Well of OL isn't helping JJ, but he's holding on to the ball a little too long back there. Now, he will get better as the season progresses and our offense will be all the better for it. I said last week our key was if we could run the football effectively. We ran it effectively, so our offense was better. Trust me when I say this guys, this LSU offense is about to start looking pretty damn good here shortly.

Who is coaching this part of the offense?

Dont' worry. Our OC will call this play 7-8 times a game in hopes that we get it right one time in some game somewhere down the road.

It might cost us a game or two, but we have no other options.

Is Sheperd a better QB for the option?

This is pure coaching failure.

+1

Should be shep running it, not jefferson.

And it should be better coached.

T.H. set up a wall and let him outrun everyone to the sidelines on returns. quit the jooking and stopping and use your speed!

Finally saw this in the GA game...and it worked.

Jefferson played poorly this game BUT he didn't lose the game by making to many costly mistakes. Can we beat the better teams in the SEC with him playing like this? Not sure but we about to find out.......

Jefferson may not develop into a great pocket passer. Several times during the game, with the pocket pushing back on either side, he instantly tucked and ran instead of stepping up and taking a shot to open receivers. He made yardage in most cases, which is good, but he didn't throw a big strike either. His passes also were pretty much not very accurate, with receivers having to reach around for them.

However, JJ did a great job of not making big mistakes and took care of the security of the ball, and he showed some good mobility on several runs, so I'm a fan. I just don't think we're going to be able to have a passing QB who can drop back and pick a defense apart this year. This may be because our O-line can't provide enough protection, but it has our fans upset because we'd like to see more big-time long strikes to our big-time NFL talented receivers. Oh well, can't have it all.

I'll take the win and be thankful. Great job by Defense and Chuck the Truck was not to be denied.
