Here's the irony. Had he flown to Houston and made his pitch, Herman would still have chosen Texas. After which, Hannagrif and Moscona would have skewered Alleva for allowing LSU to be played and having egg on its face for losing out to Texas.
This wasn't about sales.
Perhaps Alleva was pissed at Herman. It doesn't change the fact that Alleva knew it was over.
Hannagrif is no different than Mark Mays or any of the rest of the media. He's a shite stirrer.
