And wasn't this basically the story on Crowton before he game here? That in the 3rd year it pretty much goes to hell? If so it is rather amazing how consistent he has been.

We can't get much worse at least

Actually it was his 2nd year that he dropped off, which is exactly what happened. The reason it didnt get more attention was because the defense sucked major balls last year

Damn...like most of our offensive stats this year is really troubling.

Is it him or the personnel, though? I know we haven't done a good job of getting the ball into the hands of our playmakers but the poor performance of the OL could have a lot to do with it.

This is all LSU needed to beat Vanderbilt, Miss. State, Georgia, and Louisiana Tech, this year, so I have no idea why you're complaining.

P.S. -- Oh, and Ryan Perrilloux, Ryan Perrilloux, Ryan Perrilloux...

Oh, yeah, and I almost forgot. Apparently T-Bob Hebert and Josh Dworaczyk are the worst O-linemen in the history of CFB, and are totally responsible for the dropoff in rushing yards this season.

The 2007 personnel can't be compared with 08 and 09. 2008 was decent offensively, but I have no idea what's up this season. Crowton gets one more year. If the offense is just as poor and doesn't show that it's turned around then he's let go.

We have gotten WORSE in every single offense category. No improvement anywhere

And he was given a fricking raise a few months ago...

There was a huge thread last month on the subject. Lots of statisical info about Gary Crowton's coaching career in there. I posted a bunch of stats starting on page 12 onward.

Here's a taste:

Oregon Before Crowton as OC
2004 5-6 (W-L)
37th ranked 397.00 YPG
55th ranked 25.64 PPG

Oregon With Crowton as OC
2005 10-1 (W-L)
18th ranked: 438.83 YPG
12th ranked: 37.64 PPG

2006 7-6 (W-L)
9th ranked: 422.85 YPG
25th ranked: 29.46 PPG

Oregon After Crowton as OC
2007 9-4 (W-L)
10th ranked: 467.54 YPG
12th ranked: 38.15 PPG

2008 10-3 (W-L)
7th ranked: 484.85 YPG
15th ranked: 41.92 PPG

2009 8-2 (W-L) as of 11/15/09
32nd ranked 414.80 YPG
9th ranked 37.10 PPG

Three straight losing seasons at BYU don't help the resume either.

dont forget, Crowton was the man that brought Hatch here...

Shows you how good he is at wtih evaluating talent. I see why he has such a hard time with knowing which players should be on the field.

Having poor play at the QB position will hurt your offense at any level.
Even you piccalo players should know that much.

I wrote about this following the Florida game and I wrote this thread earlier today with further evidence:

Yep. Struggling with a young QB is understandable but being anywhere near the 100's in total offense is inexcusable.

Simple those QBs are playing much better than LSU's.
Jj doesn't know what he is doing most of the time thus the delays in getting the plays run.
He doesn't seem to know his progressions on pass plays.
Name the teams in SEC that would trade QBs with LSU.
Miles is a decent guy,he doesn't openly blame his players when things go wrong.
This is a learning year for JJ,and he has shown some improvement which will make the coaches smarter.
