That has no relevance to the argument, JJ throwing the ball has a direct correlation to the stats his receivers have or dont have because of JJ's ineptness and Herb has a direct impact on his receivers with his more accurate and better placed passes.
Did you not see thme both play? Are you honestly trying to arugue that the crap we see on the field from JJ is any where near the performance Tyler put on the field?
Or are u just too intent on kissing JJ's arse to accept facts.

Herb was better in every aspect

Man, I still remember when Howard got hurt, and I found out we were starting a 5 foot something freshmen. Thought to myself that this was gonna suck out loud. Gawd was I wrong.

I think the only two areas JJ is better is Arm strenght and speed and maybe athletic ability.
Tyler has a huge edge in game knowledge and awareness and in running the option he was light years better than JJ.
I for one am certain Tyler would have never sat in the gun and allowed the seconds to tick down against Tenn and I believe LSU could have easily gone 12-0 in the regular season with Tyler. He wasnt a great qb but with the D and PP on special teams 2010 team needed a solid qb and a leader which Herb brought to the table.
Not to mention I never saw Tyler on the sidelines sulking and pouting.
bingo... and they are prolly even on speed...

Taking JJ because he's "about to be the winningest QB in LSU history" is like giving Goodyear the credit for Jimmy Johnson winning 5 straight.

and playcalling was tailored to his strengths much better than what Crowton did for JJ
Would you care to list JJ's "strengths" that were underutilized by Crowton?
He is a poor option QB, he has no pocket presence, he is very inaccurate (especially on screens and shorter routes), and he is a little above average as a runner.
Please tell me what plays/scheme LSU should have been running to accentuate his "positives".

The schemes with JJ standing on the sidelines??

To name one: JJ has a cannon for an arm. LSU should have thrown the ball deep more often.
And I'm am sure that we are going to see that in 2011. I know accuracy is the big concern here, but he proved he could hit Tolliver in the Cotton Bowl.

Yea if they could come up with a position where he doesnt have to throw the ball, read a defense, manage the clock or make a decision on the option read he would be ideal.
So far in my opinion he is an elite stand on the sideline, sulk and pouter!

Then why are we playing him if he's this bad? Is there something you know that the coaches don't?

Herb and is it not even close!!!

I hope JJ has a more successful Sr season than Tyler if he starts/ plays all games. I recall we had a miserable year winning maybe 3 or 4 games with a couple of those Ws vs weak OOC.

How can you say JJ over Tyler with a straight face?
THIS!!!
Unless you just began watching LSU.

Would love a straight answer from someone in the know on that one. The million dollar question.
