I bet when Jasper whispered that in Helton's ear, his heart rate went through the F'ing roof.......

It may have been the longest four minutes for many of our lives. I didnt think they would ever make the call. It looked right on the line to me, but you never know in situations like that where it is so close. At least on the td reception, there was no question about it.

I know Josh, his is very confident and his heart rarely races.

That characteristic comes across even on TV. My wife and I talked about how LSU players never seem to panic (except for one that I will not name). I wonder how much of this is due to coaching or is it that Les never seems to panic or is it something these athletes have before entering the program or what? I would love to hear the players talk about this characteristic openly. It would be interesting and usable for a guy like me who works with high school football teams.

Don't know about the others but Josh has always been that way. First high school game as a freshman, he kicked a field goal to give his team the win with .2 seconds left on the clock. Confidence, ice water in his veins, money. He has always worked hard and is very confident - and for good reason!

When I saw him talk to Helton, I thought something may be up. Had no idea they would try that same play that worked in '07.

I noticed that Derek Helton is a Believer. I wonder how much he attributes his relationship with Christ as something that gives him inner peace in the midst of adversity and high pressure moments.
