Help me settle a argument

My friend says his dad played at LSU and was an all american at line backer. His nickname is maggi joe and his real name was Earnest Maggiore. Can someone help? I am not old enough to remember as I was born in 75'. I googled this and looked it up on LSU's Wikipedia, and no info came up on either of those names. Can someone help? And

Played in 63-65. Had 3 daughters. No mention of being namedan all american. (interwebz is your friend)

LINK... apparently played DE in 65 and blocked a punt against A&M and recovered it in the endzone for a TD. The original Honey Badger! As you can see, Mike Linebacker played with Maggie!

man thanks for that information guys as TD never fails! AS you have helped me prove that my friend (which after I cold bust his face with this information probably want be my friend) was not telling me the enitire truth. I appreciate it and TD you guys

Coached me in high school. He had a habit of forearming us in the facemask. He broke every facemask we had back when the plastic wasn't so good.
