Don't think so. The hat soaks the sweat and the salt distills (thus reaching the limits of my knowledge of chemistry). Look at just about any baseball hat whose owner won't allow it to be washed, and after awhile the white jagged circle of sweat stains appears.

Sweat, blood, tears, teamwork, effort, hours or practice, determination, will power, and guts made that hat look like that.

FWIW, I googled something LSU/Championship the night we won and the photo came up. It's from Nola.com. I don't know who's hat it is, the photo came cropped like that.
I thought it was a perfect representation for our win and what it takes to become National Champions!

nah...that is salt....many hours in the sun put it there...
