I definitely make mistakes at work. And when I do I promise you the response ISN'T "hey no problem, at least you try hard".

as much idiotic simpleton mistakes that he still makes on a day-to-day basis, he's getting better about not calling the play before it happens... Gaudets HR for ex.... also Dean's HR on friday
I agree with this. He has improved in this regard.

I enjoyed it when he called our 3B coach Javi Lopez.

something he's started to do regularly is say "it is popped up" and not tell you right away where the ball was hit.
He just said 'no errors' for the inning when there was an error.

Here is a concept- if you don't like JH, then don't listen!!! I doubt anyone has a loaded gun stuck to your head making you listen- JH is the least of LSU's athletic problems right now

"On that sharp breaking curveball which is his slider".

No, I'm an LSU fan so I'll always listen. If there was a better option I would take it, but there isn't.
I could just as easily say if you don't like Miles just stop watching LSU football but that would be an ignorant argument.

If you are on here, GMorgan does an outstanding job of PBP, he is really talented at game threads

why listen to the game on radio when you can WATCH the game unfold live right in front of your eyes???
There are things you can hear that you can't see.

Thank you for starting a thread about Hawthorne so we can have the opportunity to use it as a forum to point out his frequent mistakes. This way, we don't have to clutter the PBP thread with so many of JH's screw ups.

Fwiw, if you check the game thread I was able to figure out what happened on the crazy umpire interference play about 10 minutes before someone had to tell Hawthorne what happened between innings.
