If your goal is to be an objective bettor, you have to be able to put allegiances aside. I rarely bet LSU games because their offenses are remarkably inconsistent. To answer your question though, I have bet against LSU (against the spread, not straight up) twice, both last year - LA Tech and Penn State. The Penn State game was only a one point line though, so you can say I bet against them straight up. A big part of me was hoping to lose that bet, but objectively, I felt it was the right play.

Look, I bleed royal blue and canary yellow as much as the next guy, but I'm about to drop some $$$ against LSU for the first time. Feeling pretty shitty about it too

Nope. I never bet on the Tigers or Saints. Four things can happen and three of them are bad.
