I live in Northern California and this place is full of USC grads. Most of them are perfectly good people but the stereotype of the rich spoilt arrogant brats applies to many of them. The ones that are bad are the biggest bunch of entitled wannabes you'll ever meet. They look, act and even drive the same.
This board is not too far off in its perception of many USC grads (again, not all of them).

Bottom line, there was no "shared" championship that year. There was only one BCS champion for the 2003 season, the LSU Tigers! The other garbage they handed out to USC is just "everyone is a winner" stuff that they give out in 5 & 6 year old soccer leagues.

Because LSU fans were and still are extremely insecure about the 2003 title and get super defensive about it, USC just so happen to be the other team

DBG, nope. That's not it. USC fans are generally assholes; had nothing to do with the rankings at the time.
And who in the hell was insecure about the rankings? LSU-USC would've been a great match up and we all wanted it.

I think a perfect example of why some people hate USC is happening right now at the Emerald Bowl. BC is getting screwed left and right by absolutely terrible calls in favor of USC including numerous, generous spots...
