I suppose it's not too common, but I can understand both sides of this situation...

Ole Miss is an undefeated SEC team, and we're halfway through the season. The polls HAVE to rank them up there, because if they win out, you want them in the playoffs (top 4). So you have to have them in position.

LSU is not in the same position; 2 losses, and one of the wins was not an FBS team (Southern). One big blowout loss at home, and another close loss as a favorite (and in our home state).

But looking at actual teams and not season records, the teams seem to match up pretty closely, and this is a home game for us.

Yeah. We should have folded up the tent and called it a season right then and there

No, but its why we aren't ranked. Played like dick against a terrible auburn team as well.

You joke but we had some “fans” saying the season was over after the TN loss. Some people are just soft.

Happened 5 times last season. Unranked team covered the spread 2 of the 5 times. Unranked team won outright 3 of 5 times.

Yes. Back in 2022, Ole Miss was a ranked 2 point underdog coming into Tiger stadium. LSU was I ranked at the time. It was a prophetic line as the home team won 38-24.
