Let's be honest here. Ya, Harris isn't the greatest tool in the shed. But I think he has enough talent to win ball games. I think his coaches are just failing him.

Our playcalling has no smoke and mirrors. Its 100% obvious and predictable. Thats why it's getting harder to run. Everytime Harris drops to pass the Defense KNOWS it's a PASS!!! Hence, he has to throw into tighter coverage and he's getting BLITZED like crazy. Our offensive line isn't built to pass block either. That is on recruiting and the coaches as well. Brandon is in a lose/lose situation! Come on NOW! Bad pass blocking and obvious throwing downs are what is dooming this kid. Let's also not forget that Dupre dropped about 5 passes yesterday. All in which hit him in BOTH hands. Ya, a couple were a tad bit high. But DUPRE is 6'4" and on the Belitnikof watch list.

Finally, I think Cam Cameron is just simply a horrible coach? What has he ever done at LSU? Okay, Mett had a great Senior season. So what! He had OBJ and Juice to throw to every play. We STILL only had a 10 win season!

Two years ago against MISS ST. Jennings and LSU are getting murdered by Dak Prescot. Brandon Harris, a freshmen, with absolutely NO expereince comes in, in the 4th qtr, and just starts slinging it all over the field. He throws 2 huge TD passes and we actually had the ball on the final possession with a chance to actually win. OF course we fell short like 34-29 but he showed so much potential. NOW, fast forward two years later, under the same tutelage and he seems to have declined? Can anyone explain that?

Cam Cameron is just an overpaid fool.

Stop blaming the OC. Stop blaming the QB. Please.

Harris is actually a very intelligent guy off the field.

Really bothers me when people call him stupid. He's just a head case on the football field. He makes poor decisions when he's flustered which is an atrocious quality for a QB, but he's a very smart guy.

And he's classy, works hard, and has a ton of physical talent. He's just not a good QB. It happens.

When they give him only two options to throw to while under center, of course he's going to struggle. Our two play td drive, we get creative on the first play and hurry up on the td. Harris performs better in the spread and hurry up. Why they constantly put him in the I is beyond me.

Harris never declined, man, he just never improved under Cameron. They keep using this kid all wrong anyways. He never ran whatever you call this crazy arse offense that LSU runs in HS. He ran a system similar to what Watson is running at Clemson. So use the kid the same damn way Cameron and Mile's or else why bother to recruit him.

Yes. And this makes "execution" an impossible task.

I won't speak to his intelligence, but I can see that he can't work through his progressions, ocassionally holds the ball too long, and overthrows 6' 4" receivers regularly. The game still seems to big for him. There are geniuses who suck at chess. There are QBs who sound like retards at press conferences who are field generals. Coaching problem? Seems obvious. QB who cracks under pressure? Also seems obvious. But what the f do I know...

You have to realize is Harris is not a pro style QB. He is a spead style QB were he has time to read defensive than being under center. (Ok fore warning I'm not trying to be a coach), but it seem like the change in style of QB came about with the emrgeance of Cam Newton. Miles wants a Cam Newton caliber QB but those type QB are once in a decade type players. So Miles has be going after spread QB to run his pro style offense. That like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It just doesn't fit! It's a true dis service to Brandon Harris.

Agree.

Very intelligent guy who doesn't have the disposition or personality to be a very effective QB.

He's the anti-Jameis Winston, who is a functioning retard off the field but a football savant under the lights.
