Will LSU scores versus Arkansas and Missouri in Friday's four team meet count in the SEC standings? Seems like I remember this being the case a few years ago in a similar situation. If so, is this still the case?

If not there might be more experimenting with different gymnasts getting to perform , especially with another meet on Sunday.

357 will be able to confirm this, but I do not think so.

This meet is on a neutral podium

This isn't an SEC meet so it won't count in the SEC standings. unless they have changed that rule. There is a non SEC team in it as well.

We've already met these teams this season and won, so I wouldn't think that would even be possible.

It shouldn't but I thought it had happened that way 4 or 5 years ago. maybe i just dreamed it. Should only have to beat them once. unless its Alabama football.

SEC meets are ONLY dual meets.

Basically, going forward, LSU needs to win just one of the meets against either UGA or Auburn to guarantee a share of the Regular Season title. Florida has one loss, to us, so we can afford one loss. I have been eyeing the UGA meet for a while now as a VERY scary meet. UGA scoring at home can be ridiculous when they know a lot is riding on it. On the other hand, they are still only competing 5 on a couple of events so they don't have any room for error. I think the girls used to try too hard in Georgia because of Jay but his switch is not new any more and these girls have never known a team without Jay coaching it.

I wish the SEC would go to a tie-breaker like in football where head-to-head makes the difference. If there was a 3 way tie or something crazy they could have other tie-breakers so long as it NEVER comes down to scores because Florida would always win those with their insane home scoring.

Georgia just showed one of their assistants the door

They don't have any depth and require a perfect 5 for 5 on some events. Its not a winning recipe that scores high consistently.

No, it is not a winning recipe but if they put 5 together watch the scores, especially on floor, compared to hit routines for LSU. I have seen it far too many times. They will get a boost because they are only competing with 5 and because judges are scared shitless of Suzanne.

I am honestly confused how Georgia never is in trouble with this. Its not allowed at any level of gymnastics to press and intimidate judges.

Both coaches have literally been next to the judges all season on top of them and constantly look at them. Suzanne has initiated talk with them multiple times during a rotation.

I believe Georgia was the last team to defeat LSU in a regular season SEC meet in 2016. It seems LSU scoring was an outlier compared to what they scored the rest of the year an dof course Georgia scoring was inflated.

LSU does not need to give them any excuse to low score them so at least no falls would be a start.

Yes that was the meet where Lexie was injured tumbling in long warmups. I think everyone got rattled, plus the usual Stegeman 9.95athon on floor. We won there at regionals later that year I believe.

Probably had a different flavor of judges for the regionals and more objective scoring. They could incredibly be working on three straight undefeated seasons in the SEC if not for that loss.
