Auburn looked really good...like you said, not expected at all...weren't they 0-for the season until a week or two ago?

So its likely gonna be between Finnegan or Harrold. I do have to give a lot of credit to this staff with Harrold, I always felt like her coaching in the elites were very subpar. They seemed to ignore and not work on her form very much and just slammed a bunch of difficulty in the routines hoping to outscore others. Her form on her 1 and 1/2 has improved a lot. The only thing she needs to fix there is her slight knee bent which incurs a .05 deduction. She gets a great block off the table, and has good distance too. If she can clean that up and hit her vault, she can definitely go from a 9.95 all the way up to a 10.0 value. I am excited to see this staff to continue to polish her up, she really can contribute in many more ways

I think Finnegan. Next year, Ruby, with proper rest and instruction, will be absolutely unbelievable.

Its exciting that now a days we can have threads and discussions like these. I really love having discussions about gymnastics. I have been following it for a long time. Its really an incredible sport, I don't care what anyone else says but gymnastics is probably one of the toughest sports out there. To get to a level that these young men and ladies are at today, it starts from the age of 5, spending 40 hours in a week every week. This sport in general is just brutal on your body and its extremely dangerous. You really are one awkward fall away from serious brain damage or being paralyzed.

It really is nice...and nice to discuss depth options!

You're right about the athleticism involved...plus at this level the athletes can make it look so easy

the more you watch it, the more you will be better at understanding it. Gymnastics is very complicated in general. Sure everyone understands sticking a landing is good but finding the deductions is hard at times. It literally takes training the eye by watching it a lot. Understanding what goes into scoring. I mean shite, just knowing the names of tumbling passes and release moves is pretty hard. You have like 5 different variations of certain vaults and different style release moves. Like understanding what the difference between a pak salto and a Bhardwaj Salto. TheBhardwaj Salto is the same release from high to low bar as the pak salto but with a full twist.

I don't know why I just typed all that tbh but I enjoyed it

Sounds like he is the one who should be making you a sammich.....tell him to be quiet while the experts are watching .

But it's cool that we have a sport guys and gals can both get with...

Quick notes:

No Cannamela, so Ruby and Finnegan both in on Vault!

Lexie back on Bars!

Kennedi over Lauren Li on Beam.

No Kennedi on Floor (that double Arabian is probably not where DD wants it), so Sarah (who has a beautiful routine) is in.

The only thing we don't know is what vault Hambrick is competing? Was anyone paying attention to what vault Hambrick warmed up with?
