Why are we still bashing this kid?
I agree. Why haven't we moved on? He was a kid when he made that decision. He still is. He might have been great for us. It's also possible he did us a favor by not coming. At least he committed to us at one point, which is more than can be said for most other highly recruited quarterbacks. It makes anyone gloating about his misfortune look very small. I hope the kid can bounce back. He's more than paid for his decisions.

The main focus of people's anger toward him is not only that he flipped when and how he did, but that he cost LSU a much needed o-lineman who was also going to be an early enrollee along with Kiel and a few others. Schools are only allowed a few of those and Kiel was going to put them over the limit.

I am by no means a recruiting expert, but I'm not sure if this is completely accurate. I've read this year that we are in position to take a potential record double-digit EE class this year. Is there a limit for EE's? And if so, did that change between Kiel's class and this class?

Thanks for any clarification in advance.

The way he comported himself? I'm not crazy about it either, generally. However, particularly when Les comments on it (he's not one to willy nilly criticize kids - just in my experience) and it becomes a "thing" - I'm all for laughing at Gunner "No Chest" Kiel in the instant case.

Probably the biggest mistake the kid ever made. He sent his stuff here to enroll in January and his mom's tears kept him close to home.

Still to say the kid wouldn't have played when Mett got hurt at the end of 13 and certainly been the starter in 14 because he doesn't have a "chest" is asinine if anyone has seen him play. Remember his competition was basically Rivers and Jennings. Of course if he had showed up no "chest" comments would have been made.

Basically who really cares at this point as a Tiger fan.

Pretty simple because he screwed us pretty hard in recruiting a quality QB. De-committing at such a late date hurt us so he was thinking of himself and what is best for him I get it. What is wrong with us thinking of ourselves and laughing at his stupid decisions!!!! I don't wish him ill will but I don't have to root for the kid.
