LSU is not elite anymore... We have been replaced by several programs on the rise...ie. FSU, MSU, UCLA, OSU, etc. We are middle of the pack program in the SEC West. Our declining performances over the last several years is an indication that change is needed. If Steele and O work out, great, but Miles has struggled with the QB most of his tenure at LSU. And it is one of the reasons he loses 3.4 games per season. Personally I don't see anything changing. We will have poor QB play next season and we have NO beef on the DL. We will get pushed around on defense like we did last year. Good news is we will have another good year rushing the ball but being one dimensional will cause us to lose 3-4 games next year too... QB recruiting, development, game planning and execution will still be our problem...JMO...

you should really try to temper those high hopes. you sunshine pumpers are so annoying

wish LSU would go after pro style QB's from california and arizona that actually run offenses from under center.

you know, actually fit the QB to the offense you run instead of taking spread QB's and forcing them into a system they aren't comfortable with.

the only QB on the roster that is listed as a "dual threat" QB is Harris

Dude... This is the Rant. And our arena to voice our opinions... That's mine. I wish thing were different, but they aren't. We will win the games we are supposed to (some barely) and will lose games to stronger (bigger) teams that have better balance. QB, DL, game day coaching, etc...

you like to use that word "opinion"...and then state a bunch of shite like its a fact.

you're one of those posters that disappear after a win but are all over the place after a loss.

you pick LSU to lose nearly every damn game and to have atleast 4 losses every season. your hatred for Miles doesn't allow you to see any positivity.

However, why dont we just sign a very good maybe 4 star guy that has the promise of being effective already?

Didn't LSU get killed all year last year about not signing in-state Dak Prescott...who was a 3 star QB??

Mo Claiborne was 3 stars...

As were many great tigers.
Remembering that will make your star-gazing experience more enjoyable

pro style QB's. 6'5 235 lb QB's with rocket arms that can make every throw and read defenses. they don't depend on their legs, they depend on their brains and arms. they don't take off running if the first read is covered.

they learned how to QB from under center for years in highschool.

pro style QB's. we don't have any on the roster at LSU.

jamarcus & mettenberger were the two best examples from the past 10 years under miles

You are right. We do not know for sure what will happen next year. I wonder how everyone will feel if something goes astray with Franks and/or Patterson.

Not sure why Miles refuses to recruit a solid QB prospect. Other schools do it.

But Miles is always recruiting "duel threat projects." I have nothing against Jennings or Harris, but LSU plays a drop-back style offense, and recruits duel threat players. I am confused.
