The game was given that name because it was the game to put the NFL on the map. NFL had its fans, this game was played in Prime Time for the 1st time ever,it went into homes that people who were not casual fans watched it(Baseball was dominant). It won non NFL fans over, the Sudden Death Overtime was the clincher. It sold the product therefore dubbed "The Greatest Game Ever".

And the game will feature one of the best passing combinations in NFL history. Johnny Unitas to Raymond Berry.

LG Dupre of the Colts was from South Louisiana, Houma area I believe. His nickname was Long Gone Dupre. He used to own a nightclub in BR after his playing days. I think the name of it was The Rathskellar and was across the street from the old Capitol House Hote. Was a very nice place

btw, that movie is about the game that actually IS called the greatest game ever played. Never heard of a football game called that.
I'd love to see a good movie about the 1913 US Open.
Unfortunately that is probably the worst movie I've seen in five years. The book by Mark Frost isn't that much better.
