on the 1st down when we cross the 30 (before redzone, which in CFB really starts at 15) we need to take a shot to the end zone.

No, it won't necessarily improve that number. But it might improve scoring overall. We tend to take shots on first down anyway.

If we don't, and don't get a first down presumably we are at the 29 yd line at worst (46yd FG, Tracy's comfort-edge range).

If we do get first down, continue on...

Most want the wildcat, it's in their nature; same with me. But I say no wildcat until within the 5. Why? Because the threat of pass with Burrow can keep the S's off of the point of attack. 3 WRs help too. 30 yds to play with from the 20 is still alot of real estate to be one dimensional.

The biggest benefit to last night, and we need to continue if not more (should've started in Miami game) is running the QB. It is established now. No buts about it. That means the opponents know we can spread it out with 3 WRs (which we are doing), have a TE in motion, AND a RB as lead blocker. It's the same power, within a 3-gap spread, as Power-I while using numbers in your favor by spreading them out.

In short:
- take shots when within 30-35 yds because of our K
- continue to use QB/RPO out of 3 WR sets.

And I'd say some trick/gimmick plays between the 20-10 is called for too. I'd rather use them for a TD over getting a spectacular 25 yds elsewhere. Again- good FG kicker, if we lose yardage we're back to square 1 and get 3.
