I agree with you that USC does play a tough out of conference schedule. However, you are talking about the entire Pac-10 vs the entire SEC. Stanford, Washington, Arizona, Arizona State, etc Vs. LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tenn, Auburn, etc. You would have to be out of your mind to think that top to bottom the Pac-10 is better than the SEC.

Stopped reading right there. We're talking who's better in 2009. And that isn't even close.

Winner -
Yeah, me too.
Both LSU and USC have generally benefited from the fact that many of their big bowl wins have come in their back yard:
USC - Rose Bowl.
LSU - Sugar Bowl for both BCS Championships. That can't hurt, eh.

but even outside of those title games the SEC has been far and away the best conference in big BCS games.
12-5 in BCS games, and 5-0 in BCS national title games....both the best among the conferences.
The pac 10 does have a nice BCS record, but USC accounts for two thirds of their wins and their only BCS title game victory. It just confirms that fact that USC is great, but the rest of the conference is very average.

Please give USC, LSU's schedule for next season and see how they do and we'll go play in the PAC-10/ automatic Rose Bowl.
i believe the SEC is the best, youll get no argument from me there. the bottom of the pac 10 is awful. however implying that usc couldnt hang in the SEC is ridiculous bro. aside from florida the SEC was not as dominant last year as you seem to think

until the Pac-10 gets at least average bowl tie ins i can't even take their bowl record that seriously.
yes. Other than saying that the PAC-10 is not as bad as some make them out to be, the mid level bowl tie ins help only marginally when they win. ANd when they lose, it fuels the naysayers fire.

If LSU played in the Pac-10, we would of won the BCS Championship every year since 2001. Seriously.

Dude, I posted in another thread but evidently you didn't read it, so I'll post it again...
No one outside of the PAC 10 thinks the PAC-10 is a strong conference.
Proof:

On a personal note – Mr. Harbach and I would like to publish an open (albeit brief) letter to Mr. Pete Carroll, and the rest of the PAC 10 brass, in an effort to stop the madness. Hey Pete, any football conference that one team can win for seven – going on eight – straight years, is not a competitive conference. Period. While we're on it, the fact you have had that advantage and only have one National Championship to show for it also speaks volumes. Alright then; let’s all move on.

This idiocy makes for worthless debate! The PAC-10 is far better than most in the SEC will give them credit for and personally, I think they're better coached. Washington will get smoked this year and the idiocy will continue.
USC continues to be the best team, year in-year out, that doesn't win NC's
Can you honestly deny it?

Why are you comparing the bottom of the Pac 10 with the top of the SEC?
