Great game, I had just got married, drove over to watch it with my Dad, he and I had made bets against a couple of ole miss guys the day before, remember we were kind of sick at halftime, was always partial to ensminger after that game.

Wow, I remember when we would play Ole Miss and later the same day, State would play Bama in the same stadium in Jackson.

fondly remember the days of the doubleheader in jackson; lsu/ole miss 1p kickoff - followed by miss state v bama that night

seriously major tailgating took place; most of jackson's holding cells were filled w/ lsu and bama fans

'77 lsu ole miss game particularly memorable b/c the tigers spotted the rebs 21 points before storming back to win in 2d half;

We used to never play in Oxford.

It was a rare event to play in Oxford back in those pre-historic times, but in 1960, my sophmore year at LSU, we played them in Oxford - #2 ranked, unbeaten Ole Miss had to kick a last second fg to salvage a tie against a young LSU team coming off four straight loses.

Alexander wearing the tear away jersey. Basically a tshirt with the number 4 on it. Did not even take the time to put the stripe on it.

My favorite OM game was in TS in '72. I was there and remember the rebel flags disappearing when time stood still and we won 17-16. Jones to Davis? with no time on the clock.
Before that they were giving it hell in the SEZ.The student section was a riot. We just stood there yelling for 10-15 minutes after the game. Good times. We used to have panty raids this week back then.
