I'm looking for the same thing. I want the atmosphere, but I want to hear the volume of the TV also.

I will be on or around Bourbon (going to the Saints game on Sunday). I need a recommendation for somewhere closer.

Walk-Ons is now open. No doubt they'll have the game front and center.

If you're downtown, the new Walk-On's/Happy's is your best bet. I went for the Saints game last week, its a good time

Bulldog in the uptown area is usually a pretty good spot. Lagers out in Metairie is a solid joint as well.
