I am in no way arguing against Milam. At all. He might have gotten hosed. I just don’t think those stats tell the full story. And we’re biased, not just because we like him, but because we see him play every game. The voters can’t possibly watch every game if every potential winner.

I tried to find clear cut criteria for getting nominated and I couldn’t find anything concrete from the ABCA. I too would like to know for certain what all they are considering. I did find that the player must be nominated by his coach and said coach must be a member of the ABCA. Apparently Curiel has been nominated for outfielder so Jay must be a member.

The rules state explicitly that those stats define the whole story.
