Sounds like you have your priorities out of order when following the Tigers on the road.
Were you going to Starkville for the game or for vacation?
Aside from a Baton Rouge and New Orleans, what makes Starkville any different from most towns in Louisiana?
Take away the car dealerships, chain restaurants,
malls, & crime and Baton Rouge isn't much different than Starkville.
SEC road trips are what YOU make of them. If you can't enjoy going with your friends----you may need to find some new people to go with.

Wow lil jaded are we?! I just graduated from msu and I lived there for 2 years. All I heard was how horrible of a town it was. When I got up there I found out just how wrong those people were. I had an awesome time up there for the 2 years I lived there. And this weekend is bulldog bash. Lots of good bands, lots of people, and lots of fun. Some people just don't know how to have a good time.

starkville is a nice place, nice people, humble people. Great student body and Great school. Alumni are some off the best people you will ever meet.

The game.

If it makes you feel any better, I'd say the same thing about Bunkie or Jena.

I'd say we're well above average when it comes to fun. But ok, I'll bite, since you're so well travelled and your crew is like rolling with Joe Francis and Tucker Max...where would you rank Starkville out of the twelve SEC schools when it comes to worthwile road trip? Then factor in the game's at 11:30. If the game was an 11:30 game here, I'm willing to bet you be pissed b/c it takes about 2/3 of the day away. I'm just saying the juice isn't worth the squueze, but I'm not a super fan like you are.

A honest question here, what is so bad about Starkville?

Probably nothing that isn't wrong with any other cow town from a rival school. Towns like that just aren't my bag.

Please come show me these cows that you talk of, because I havent seen them yet. But I usually stay in the town. No wonder you have no fun, you go hang out in the country.

Honestly, Starkville is not booming, but since 1995 the campus and Starkville has change a lot. I remember 3 bars in 1995 and in 2009 its over 10 I know of. Yes, cold beer here in Starkville now, plus this weekend will be the first weekend in Starkville you will be able to drink anywhere on Sunday.

YES COLD BEER and been cold beer for about 5 years.

Oxford does not allow cold beer, but Starkville does.

That's pretty much the way to play it. It'll be tough to live up to your Seattle trip.
