Going down there, I've been to all of the games there since 98. One of my favorite trips, though before campus I stop at a McDonalds to get a cup to put my alcoholic beverage in.

It's a pretty awful college town. Cops are dicks on gamedays, bars are not that great and the UF fans are assholes. I was there in '02, '04, '06 and '08.
If you're not 21 you're going to need a fake ID to go out. No playing drinking games while tailgating and be careful about open containers. Drink out of a cup and try to stay around your tailgate.

I've had some fun there. I went in 2002 and 2004 and it was ok. I enjoy road games. There are some decent bars across the street from the stadium that Tiger fans will end up taking one of them over. Their fans screw with you some but that is part of it. They aren't that bad compared to when other teams fans come to LSU. The cops are not just dicks to LSU fans, they get on the Gator fans as well about getting too drunk and out of control. Both times I went there we won so it was all good for me. It's not as fun as tailgating at Tiger Stadium though by a long shot. Oh yeah, they do something strange. At the start of the 4th quarter they like all stand up, lock arms, and sing some song and sway back and forth. I don't know about you people, but it's hot and muggy on the Gulf Coast states and I don't want to be touching somebody sweaty unless it is some hot female!

Great place to watch a game. This may be the best time to go in the last couple of years the gatornation is very humbled since Tebow is gone. The cops are pricks not just to LSU fans ask the FL gator players( Read the paper last 3 years). Stay around stadium nice little bars and spots to hang out and mingle. Have some beautiful women in Gatorland also. I hope we finally get one in the swamp been talkin smack last couple games in Gville and sneakin out with my tail between my arse cheeks if you know what I mean!!

The GPD are equal opportunity busters and you do not have open containers or go cups or anything else around. Its not like Louisiana...the police are bad....so dont have a bad trip.
Just like anywhere else...fans are fans and our two schools share one thing..passion beyond any others. Ive been to TS at night. Gainesville will remind you of the same noise level. There are a lot of great fans who like to good naturely jab at you and if you smile while throwing it back...it goes a long way.

went in 06 and 08, the only good thing was LSU Fans taking over the bar called "The Swamp". You wont see too many Gator fans Friday night due to their PEP RALLY in the stadium.

their fans were complete assholes in 2008. I'm going back though. It has the worst tailgaiting atmosphere in the SEC, and they have a lot of cheese-dick fans. We met some nice UF fans too though.
I got headbutted in the chest for talking to some jort wearer's girlfriend and we heard a few katrina jokes. The cops were assholes. I've never wanted to win a game as badly as that one, and we got our asses kicked.
