Dale took us to 13 STRAIGHT NCAA TOURNAMENTS.

It was 10 straight but still an impressive feat. We made 3 from 79-81 and during those 3 years were a top-10 team in each of those seasons.

We went to the NIT the next two years, losing in the first round to UNO and Tulane at home in each of those seasons.

The from 84-93 we went to 10 straight tourneys, Making one Final Four and one elite 8 and losing in the first or second round in the other 8. The highest seed we were in any of those 10 was a four-seed.

We could debate where the program ranked in that 10-year span relative to the rest of college. I think top-10 would be a stretch. But having that kind of consistency at least in terms of making the post-season is commendable. My hope is we could do even better, and I think Wade may possibly be a coach who could accomplish that.

Now making 10 straight tournaments in this day and age with the best players leaving after a year is not realistic....even Slimey Cal had to settle for the NIT a few years back. But maybe advancing a little further a little more often is something we can accomplish.

Will Wade had the basketball program MILES ahead of where your boyfriend JJ had it before LSU played its first game of the season.

Either you really are mentally challenged like we suspected during baseball season, or you are the worst troll in the history of trolls.

Reminds of the Knucklehead dude that used to call all the radio shows pimping for Smoke after he was fired.

Also Highland rd, when Wade REALLY gets us rolling, baseball is gonna be such an afterthought, your head will spin. I have seen LSU when they were a top 5-10 program, and that pmac will be packed and rocking, and hoops will be right up there with fb in BR.

I hope the basketball team does well but baseball will never be a afterthought. A lot of baseball fans are people that don't really care about basketball. It's going to take people in their 20s-40s to pack the PMAC.

I'll go further than that. There are baseball fans who don't care about football either. Even at the end of the Smoke era you would get the loyal 3-4,000 in the stands which is more than 95% of schools in college baseball average.

Lets hold off a bit. I mean, he's only halfway to Jones's SEC win total last season
The potential in Will Wade and the difference he's made with a makeshift team is remarkable.

If I'm AD, I'm taking this guy that fell into my lap and I'm giving him everything he needs to build it here - at LSU.

Dump cash into facilities. Make the PMAC a state of the art facility. Give him every tool he could possibly need and pay him if he builds the program. Don't ever give him a reason to leave and he won't.

I don't think you understand how bad of shape JJ left the program in. It was Curly Halmannesque.

Didn't work for Saban.

Unfortunately I don't think the PMAC could ever be state of the art... I'd love to see them either build a new arena down Nicholson, or rent out the River Center for a season, tear down the PMAC, and build a new arena on the PMAC site (since it's next to the practice facility)

What's so bad about the PMAC? It's the same as the Superdome. It's old but it's not that bad.

Well the biggest thing as a money maker is no premium seating (WW has said as much), also, the concourse is absurdly small especially when big crowds are there and the layout of seats relative to the court is horrendous, it'd cost a ton of money to fix the issues, and is probably more cost effective to just start over

What does this even mean?

Saban left? If that's the point, Saban left LSU for NFL and also left LSU in a great state. If it means you can't necessarily hold on to a coach because he has other career objectives, then why not capitalize on that coach's talent while he's employed to build a foundation for the future?

You don't know Wades goals, they may be the same as Sabans. Money wasn't keeping him here. As for premium seating Wade probably doesn't care about that. He just wants things that will help recruiting. If you want additional revenue move the media and add courtside seats. Plenty of ways to be creative.

How does that address anything I said?

OP said pay him $$$. I said give him whatever he needs to build it here.

Money isn't always an option. He may have goals to be a NBA coach or have a dream job.
