exactly what I'm thinking. I say let her kick the crap out of the ball and get the hell out the way. Problem solved. Even if there's a return, it's 15 yds deeper than what we've seen thus far.

I don't care how tall or how much she weighs, if you don't think the smallest guy on any return squad can light her arse up and probably hurt her (unintentionally) you're crazy.

There have been some pretty small guys who played for major programs. I'm thinking in particular of Eric Metcalf, the leading RB for Texas in the mid-80's. His freshman year he was 5'7" and 160 lbs. If he could survive playing RB then a 6 foot tall woman weighing that much could take the occasional hit. They aren't quite as delicate as you think.

I go to the women's soccer games.

While Mo has a bigger leg than most, I seriously doubt she has D1 football distance on her kicks.

Seriously, seriously doubt this.

Amazes me that LSU has 3 scholly kickers and not one of them can kick it to the 5 at least?

It's amazing and embarrassing at the same time.
Buddies from around the country have asked me this very question.

Not one, but 3.

And no, mo isom isn't going to kick in tiger stadium either.

Anyone who actually thinks this will happen needs their head examined

I'm thinking realistically and as a caller to AFR last week said, these athletes aren't like "normal guys".

Mo's not like "normal girls"

Mo can probably whoop our asses but not SEC athletes who are mostly over 200 lbs benching 300+ and running <5 sec 40yds.

That's not most. She is about the average height and weight. No one is kicking anyone's arse in a football game (save Blount, etc.). All she has to do is hold her own and unless you have gone up against her you can't say for sure that she can't.

It's just a dangerous proposition.

Football is a dangerous sport. What does that have to do with it. Every player is at risk of injury.

It's the tackling I'm suggesting is lose-lose for everyone involved.

Very well may be. Only way to know is to find out. The coaches will get a feel for ability to take/deliver a hit.

Yea you are right. But the proposition of putting a female on the field is simliar to letting freshman declare early for the draft. Their bodies just aren't ready for the rigors of NFL. And with all due respect to tough females out there, I don't think there are many, if any, females ready to take on a 250 lb blocker coming at her for a killshot b/c she's focusing on the runner. That will NEVER end well for anyone is all I'm saying.

And some of those soccer chicks ARE tough as nails. Mo is uh, well built, and if it came down to it, I think she could take a hit.

Not a brutal, Eric Reid/Vick Ballard hit, but could she do the usual kicker thing, and get tangled up in the runners' legs? I'd think so.

Either way, I haven't seen the leg for D1 Football out of her. VERY good leg for women's college soccer, but not the same as a half-arse decent kicker.

What about the one-armed kid? Thought he had a big leg?

All I am saying is you are only supplying conjecture based on your preconceived notion that a person is frail because of the lack of penis. What I'm saying is there is only one way to find out if she is frail or not and that will not take place during a game. If she really wants to kickoff and the coaches feel that she can get the ob done they are gonna find out in practice if she can take and deliver a hit.

The stupidity in this thread amazes me. Yall do realize Mo is way bigger and probably weighs more than Josh Jasper did. And she is probably bigger than most kickers in college football. She is listed at 6'0'' tall on the website and I have seen her in person she is big.

To act like most kickers are these big strong athletes is laughable, she wouldn't do any worse or better at blocking/tackling than most kickers already do.

This whole thing is just a PR stunt anyways most likely so its not like any of this matters

The real question to any of you that actually watch soccer.. can she "soccer tackle" the returner?

I think she gives up the "don't hit a lady" card when she suits up and steps on the field. I'm normally a pretty chivalrous man, but a woman on a football field trying to tackle one of my teammates is fair game.

Seth Mannon transferred to UNLV (I think, out west, anyway).

My question to everyone here, could Mo isom bring down Trindon Holiday?
She has him in both weight and size.

I am not saying form tackle him, I am saying fall down with him. Besides since when is a kicker a formidable tackler for a team?

This. If she gets squared up by some 250 lb. blocker on a kickoff she's going to get laid out like every other kicker on the team not just because she's a girl.

This is some interesting stuff going on at the LSU Football Office for sure.
Believe me, I want to see her kick. It'll be a first for the SEC and I fully support it.
I just don't want to see her hurt nor see LSU deal with the repercussions of say a worst case scenario where she's blindsided by a BamaTard, ending not only her football career but causing some sort of head/neck inury. Like another poster said, I hope she kicks to the endzone and problem solved.
