That first one was nice, don’t get me wrong, but he just Bermuda triangled one and made a bad, bad decision to go 2nd base instead of sticking the sure out, then going for 2 if possible. I like the kid, and his bat is usually money, but he’s played 2 years here now and his b-ball IQ should be a lil higher

His velocity is definitely down from last year.

His arm looks “tired” to me. Clearly, I’m no expert. But it just seems like he’s never “fresh”. Maybe he just needs sone time in the bullpen to recoup.

Gilbert has decent pitches, except his fastball this year is straight & not as fast as last year.

In my opinion, Gilbert is Taylor made to do exactly what he’s doing now.... closing. You can tell he’s more comfortable with it.

Coomes was horrible at first last year and hasn't improved. Gilberts FB is straight as an arrow and he leaves it up to much.

Gilbert had great stuff last year, especially the OSU game. Don’t know what happened this year.
