feel sorry for the youngsters who didn't get to see him play in college. Truly a man amongst boys.

and I feel sorry for the rest of you that didn't get to see THE PISTOL in action...there will never be another like him....should have a statue of Pete right there beside Shaq in my opinion..

I was lucky enough to watch him play in High School.
He helped destroy our team when we played them. I didn't play BB but played on the football team. A lot of us went up to Leesville just to see the 7 foot BEAST play. He didn't let us down!! I became a fan from that moment on!

Absolutely agree, Tiger Chaser! Both were extraordinary collegiate talents who went on to have great pro careess. Those of us who got to watch them both play in the purple and gold are truly fortunate.

We had season tickets during his time at LSU. It boogles my mind how we lost to UTEP in the tourney when Shaq was here.
