A couple of thoughts from my vantage point at the game.
1) Most of the team seemed very engaged and into the game. The body language was much different than most of last year.
2) Obviously, special teams was atrocious. I am not an X’s and O’s football genius, but after rewatching the tape, FSU consistently brought 5 to 6 guys to the left side of the line on FG’s. Surely the coaches should have been able to make an adjustment to counteract that tactic. Inexcusable.
3) I thought Daniels did what was expected. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. Anyone saying it was great or horrid didn’t watch the game. Yes the 99 yard drive was good, but FSU was playing extremely soft coverage the whole drive, most college qb’s could have executed against that d.
4) I do not condone berating players on social media; however, with the advent of NIL and players essentially getting paid, players need to realize they are going to be subjected to hate and vitriol just like many pros. It’s not right, but it goes with the territory.

Not necessarily. Most QBs either take multiple sacks and run out of time or they get greedy too early, force the ball deep, and throw a pick. Daniels handled the last two drives about as well as could be expected. Dismissing that is pretty ridiculous.

frick this. There is no place for this kind bullshite, so don’t try and justify or excuse it. No one should be subjected to these kinds of unhinged rants in their workspace. Not football players or anyone else.
