Hanover getting doubled up energized what had been a dead crowd. Took all the momentum from us. I don't care what the third base Coach is doing, a Senior shouldn't let that happen.

it's one game. we will host a regional. we win that and we play against anyone, wherever it is, we have a chance. I will take gausman against any pitcher in the country and you only have to win 2.

Agreed. It was a tough play to make a read on, no doubt. But a senior needs to know that the worst thing that can happen is a double play. Even if he held up at second and was subsequently thrown out at third, then you still have your clean-up hitter up with runners on 1st and 2nd.
Perhaps you don't go "half way" like you're normally taught to do, but you absolutely can't get doubled it. That's just a bad mental mistake that became very costly.

Yeah and that chance increases exponentially when we are playing at Alex Box. To de-emphasis the significance of hosting a super regional is just misguided.
