See that hit by Cabrera to lead off...

Yeah man it definitely would have happened the exact same way had his at bat come the last inning with RISP. Pitch sequencing would have been exactly the same.

If he hits it off the wall no one is saying anything. It’s a high risk play and with Beloso at the plate I’m okay with it especially with the lead.
I get what you’re saying but I disagree. You at least take a strike with Cabrera on deck with an opportunity to have the bases loaded

Actually more reason to do it with the certainty of a fastball coming.
A fastball is coming no matter who is pitching. Lmao

It's about what's coming next you retard...

I’ve watched/attended/played-in more baseball games than you’ve had hot meals
Posted on 2/28/20 at 9:44 pm to tigerintexas777
Well...apparently you never really bothered to learn anything about the game...
Posted on 2/28/20 at 9:48 pm to FulshearTiger
That makes no sense. You need to brush up on your situational baseball

I’m a road scholar of the game

The real crime in that inning is giving Gio that at bat.
this is the real question.
sadly, our sophomore hitters seem to be failures.

I believe that...but you’re definitely not a Rhodes scholar of anything.

I’ve been on Paul. But, regardless of who bats in what order he has his best athletes on the field with this group. I like it. Gio will get his share of infield hits because of his speed. Although, he does have to make more contact.

I can see your POV here and don't disagree with the reasoning, but Beloso can put one in the seats just as easy as Cabrera. I like letting him swing away if he gets one he likes, he's a guy we should have some level of trust in.
I don't think there is any definitively correct call in that situation, it just didn't work out this time

Gives green light 3-0 with Cabrera on deck. Unreal
100% agree. Would likely have been bases loaded with Cabrera up.
Cabrera hit a single to start the next inning.
Stupid coaching.
Our baserunning is atrocious again this year as well.

I was literally screaming at the TV to give him the green light. The pitch was a strike, one of you little dicks would have been screaming it he didn't swing.

You have no idea if Cabrera is gonna see as good a pitch as Beloso gets on 3-0. Why not let a big bat swing away when he may get the best pitch you're gonna see all inning?
