Exactly. Who gives a damn what he decides to do during the anthem, while hundreds of people are in line for beer and nachos anyways. As long as he’s balling out on the field and not breaking the law, I don’t care if he stands, kneels, or sleeps during the anthem.

Obviously he doesn’t want to stand for our anthem.

And neither does anyone watching at home. What does that say about them?

this is a stupid arse thing to get all butthurt about. Why people act like the National anthem and the flag are some sacred thing is beyond me. The tune of the National anthem is from a British drinking song for fricks sake.

You want to make it about veterans and the military being disrespected? Why aren’t you pissed that our government doesn’t take care of our veterans properly? That’s who you should be pissed at. Not some football player who’s opinion is basically moot.

None of these guys protesting have served or had close relatives that were hurt protecting what the flag represents.

They have no idea what the flag means for many people and their families, so its no big deal to them.

To them is may be simply people telling them what to do and they are keeping it real.

By the way - I have a code of conduct policy at my job. If I violate it, I’ll be terminated. Why isn’t anyone raising arms about my rights? Protest on your own time. It’s not the NFL’s responsibility to give you a platform.

And standing for the anthem is not one of them. Only the military have to do that.

It’s about showing the people that provided you the blanket of freedom to make ridiculous statements respect and gratitude.

You don’t know that.

I lost a grandfather to war. Had another last was a POW. Father served in Vietnam. None of them would give a shite about people not standing for a fricking song and neither do I.

America is still America even without the anthem or the flag.

IIRC, Fournette signed a $27 million contract with the Jags. But, yes he lives in an oppressive white regime and was never given a chance at anything due to his race.

That doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to pay taxes like everyone else.

Everyone should have to pay a specific percentage of their income as taxes regardless. There should be no reductions, loopholes, etc and tax returns should not be a thing. You live in America, you pay a tax for that privilege. Flat tax is the only equal and fair way.

my point is, it’s chicken shite to protest, but at the same time not being willing to discuss what you’re beliefs are. It’s either that, or he’s too dumb to discuss it and formulate an argument for his stance.

It makes no sense. He prolly doesn’t even know why, which is most likely the majority of why these idiots are “protesting”.

Meanwhile outside of 1 minute of “protesting” at work, they do absolutely nothing proactive to better whatever the issue at hand is. They’ll go home to their mansions and their luxuries and live their lives without ever doing anything about these so called problems.

Don’t know how you got that deduction. Perhaps you should stick to subjects that you are somewhat knowledgeable about.

Do you have any proof of this or are you just talking just to talk?

If he’s not present for it why does he have to stand. None of y’all stand when it’s on and your sitting on your couch. He’s just following the rules.

All of the examples of guys actively doing things to try to make things better, and this still gets parroted?

Darryl, you got me. Here’s LF trying to make America a better place and addressing the issues that he believes in. Lots of hard work, he’s put in, dont you think?

I love the narrative that staying in the locker room to not stand, is any different than kneeling.
