12. After 6 games, we still have not been eliminated from the NC picture.

Neither has Auburn, but I don't see anyone thinking they're ok.

Auburn has two losses and will not make the NC game even if they win out.

In case you skipped last season, the defense lost the games. INTs didn't help, but I think we should see what Lee can do. JJ does not have a quick release and the Off line does not give him a running game nor any time to throw. Lee might be able to get it out faster and it may make a difference, but we won't unless we let him run a series or 2. If he throw the INTs, we'll have our answer, but I would hate to drop 3 more and think - we knew the offense was weak and we decided not to change anything.

Good gosh - did you even watch the MS State or the UF game? We are dangerouly close to dropping 2 or 3 more.

This is not a post calling for Miles' or JJ's job - just a post to try something new because we all know that what we are doing now is not going to beat Bama and may not beat OM, Auburn or ARK. I would at least like to know that we tried everything we could when the season is over. I would also like to see more Shep or Randle at QB.

All anyone is asking for is at least a series for Lee. Let us all see if he's improved. He could give the team a spark.

One poster pointed out that Jeff gave us a spark at the end of the year. He did. He wasn't very good, but it gave the offense some hope. It would work the same this year in reverse. Continuing down this same path is just painful to watch. Miles was wrong last year to wait so long and he's wrong this year if he waits any longer.

"But what happens if he throws a pick 6?" This is the same stupid arse thing over and over. It's a new year, pick 6s are anomolies, and the people who keep saying it have zero football IQ. fricking idiots.

No one is saying bench Jeff, everyone wants a little more Shep and a little Lee to see for ourselves the answer. The truth is, I don't trust the coaches. I want to see it myself.

o any of you remember how bad everyone wanted J. Lee benched last year

I'd be willing to bet that if JLee had the same play calling last year as JJ this year your opinion of him would be completely different, he wouldn't have had the INT's he did. That wasn't an option though because the defense was horrible so the team has always trying to come from behind and we were forced to throw way more than we should have with a freshman QB.

I'm not saying JLee is the answer. I think the play calling is to blame combined with the OL. But why hasn't the play calling progressed? Maybe it's because JJ isn't up to it.

What would it hurt to give Lee some plays? He was young last year too you know. It's not like Jefferson is just that much better. We also had a horrific defense last year that stopped no one. I'm just saying what could it hurt?
