Considering that Student-Athletes have to be a full-time student, why didn’t the team work to schedule football players for 12 hours of all online classes for the fall semester?
Seems like a plausible solution to students being back on campus and can further insulate athletes from the student population. On the flip side, while many players don’t live on campus there will always be other places where they could be exposed.

All P5 schools could do this.

Because, contrary to popular belief, some football players want to actually graduate on time with something besides a bullshite general studies degree.

I know plenty of guys who graduated with degrees early or on time that took 12 hours during the season due to workload. Additionally athletes frequently take intercession and summer classes which make up for the reduced hours in-season.

Who says that they didn't work to do that?

Unless something has been written or posted to the contrary; from what Hester has said a couple of times on his show that nearly all of the players are doing online only classes this fall.

I also remember hearing or reading somewhere that Orgeron was asked that question and they said something like 90% of the team will be enrolled in online classes. The remainder that have to do some in-person classes it is likely b/c it just wasn't feasible or possible for them to avoid having to do that considering their major and where they are in their timeline of needed credits to graduate.

So I'm under the impression that for the strong majority and most part, just about all of the players are taking online only this semester.
