Food in Arizona
I can't help anyone who's in the valley area right now...

But anyone headed North after the game to I-40 East, should stop in a little mountain town called Williams. There's an Italian restaurant on the main strip (literally a half mile from I40) called The Bistro. Charming small town atmosphere, reasonably priced, authentic Italian grub, high end wine and frigid cold beer. This time of year, outdoor temps will be in the 60s after sunset, so eat out on the balcony. Anyone passing that way, can thank me later

Are you fricking high? Williams, AZ gets cold as hell in the winter. It's supposed to snow there later this week. High there tomorrow is 25, with a low of 8 degrees tomorrow night.

Nope. Really tired.

But you're right and I stand corrected. I was reminiscing of being there in July and running on about 4 hours of sleep since Friday.

My apologies. Still a damn good place to get your graze on

Ive found that Phoenix's food scene is very commercialized by chains but maybe thats just me

Actually, Phoenix has a great food scene. I'm out pretty regularly and it is a great place for food and drink.

If you you like sushi, there is a great place downtown called Harumi Sushi that has purple rice. It's really good. Culinary Dropout is actually a little over-hyped, but that doesn't mean that it isn't good. Bobby Q's is great for, well, you know. It's also a little touristy, but their brisket is perfect. One of my go to places that is a local favorite is called Switch on Central Ave near Thomas. It is right on the train line. Within a block of Switch you have Durant's which has phenomenal steaks, but it is very much on the pricey side. Also within walking distance of there you have Wild Thaiger, EXCELLENT Thai. Down by Chase field they have the Arrogant Butcher. It is pretty good, reasonably priced food, good libations. There are a lot of good Mexican places, but I like the mole'at Los Sombreros in Scottsdale, and their margaritas are dangerous. Covering the bases here, for Indian, I like Jewel of the Crown in old Scottsdale.

Also, in Tempe, I like to go to Four Peaks Brewery, especially if someone else is driving. They have food, but you're going for the beer on this one.
