I understand going to the CWS is exciting for anyone to attend.. but I've never seen more fair-weather fans for a team in a while. I'm sitting in right center outfield bleachers with a pretty decent amount of UF "fans." These cats were talking shite and didnt even know the names of their players. When #17 came in to pitch (i remembered him from game 1) i asked the group who this guy was. They had no idea. But it got better. When they pulled him and brought in Kowar, I asked who it was. I was told this was "Reynolds." Not only do they not know who a WEEKEND starter is, theres no one on Floridas roster named Reynolds. lol I just found it comical that these ppl came to OMAHA dressed in all blue and orange, talking trash, yet didnt even know their own players. Also had some Beaver fans with them still all in their feelings about the arse whippin we gave them last week. I like talking a little smack during game, but when I knew more about their own team, thats disappointing.

Well the good news is now they get to learn the names of the players on their national championship team.
What is it with LSU fans trying to claim some "fandom" national title? LSU has a more passionate college baseball fanbase than ANYONE else in the nation, period. I don't think anyone would dispute that.
I would imagine that when LSU made the final four in basketball a few years back you probably had more than a few fans who didn't know the names of the players.

AWWW MAN. BUT I REALLY WANTED THE FANDOM TITLE! Sike. Never said anything about that. And you damn right, hopefully they can learn the names of the players on their national championship team, this post would have never been made if they knew it in the first place. Which was sort of the point...

I know people that went to UF and would love to give me shite for them beating LSU. But I haven't heard a word from anyone. Know why? They don't have a clue UF played in the CWS much less won it. Reality is that outside of a few certain schools no one cares about college baseball.

Only way to tell a real Florida fan from a fake is if they are wearing jean shorts! I think Florida is the only state that still sells them. So, how many JORT sightings where there?

Not sure which is more pathetic....Baseball Fandom Title or Champions of Life?
There are plenty of UF Baseball fans. Just set a per game avg attendance record this year & had 2500 at the Welcome Home Celebration last night
One thing you should think about is:
LSU is a baseball school. Period.
Football is fun...but you have to deal with Bama each year and clearly arent "all in" as you've hired Ed O as your coach.
UF is an EVERYRHING school.
In the last 10 years the Gators have won football, basketball & baseball National Titles. Not to mention softball, track&field, tennis, swimming&diving and I'm sure a few others.
As a fan it's tough to pick which Title games to attend.
Do I goto the SECCG? The Elite Eight, Omaha, Oklahoma City?
So, enjoy your "best baseball fans in the country" title...is there a ring for that?

Yea no doubt about it, Florida is a top 5 school when it comes to all sports. I never said anything about them not being winners. I was specifically talking about 30 UF fans that were around me, THAT DIDNT EVEN KNOW A GUYS NAME WHO WAS 15-1 AS A STARTING PITCHER AT YOUR UNIVERSITY. But you cant actually sit here and say LSU isnt in the same tier as Florida. We repeatedly compete for titles in all sports as well. Baseball, Gymnastics, softball, track, golf.. football and basketball have serious potential in the immediate future. And if Florida wouldnt be in the East, you'd more than likely not have the accolades you have now. In the original post, i never said anything about a life championship lol. Just pointing out 30 of the 2,000 fans that went to Omaha that were disappointing.
