I think The fact that we think this way Hurts our team.

We need to offense to put teams away, and they mostly can’t.

Expecting the defense to defend 5 point leads, and expecting 19 points to be enough.

So long as we blame a 20-19 or 21-17 loss on the defense we’re just letting the offense off the hook.

We hold the offense to completely different standards than the defense and normally the fact that we can’t score is what comes
Back to bite us on the arse.

I do expect the defense to hold a lead late in the 4th (I'm referring to the A&M game). There was no excuse for A&M to convert a 4&18 and the 20 yard pass to tie the game at the end of regulation. The defense absolutely should be held accountable for that. And i really don't care if they contributed to one of our scores. They still gave up 31 points in regulation and should be held to a higher standard than that. That's not making an excuse for what the offense did. That's holding the entire team accountable for their own responsibilities. As with the Alabama game, I do not believe the offense or the defense did their jobs, which is why we gave up 4 TDs and a field goal on defense and didn't do anything on offense. We were outclassed in every phase of that game except maybe a push on special teams.

True but 1 of the TDs was after we stopped them in their own territory and muffed a punt deep in ours.

And we were down a lot of CBS against a team with talented CBS.

It aucks not our best game but realistically 31 with the muffed punt and the TD from the defense isn’t a terrible performance.

It’s bad for OUR defense, but not most.

See, you said earlier it's a poor attitude to be ok with the offense. We'll I'll throw it back to you. It's a poor attitude to make excuses if the defense doesn't do their job either. Again, i didn't say the defense was the sole reason LSU lost to A&M. We lose as a team and win as a team. I don't know why it pains you so much to hold everyone equally accountable for doing their jobs, whatever that job may be. I can assure you they were held accountable by Aranda and Aranda held himself accountable for giving up the tying score. Why can't you?

No, he was not

For arguments sake yes he was. Rivals upped him towards the end but everyone and originally Rivals had him 3 star

This has been debated and enough links here:

Regardless he played as a 5+++++, and as I said was a bad example. Regardless we arent getting as good ROI now as we were with the players from 1999-2007
