a) None of this counts
b) None of this indicates hypocrisy on PF's part

Team A plays a conference championship game.
Team B does not play a conference championship game.
Team C does not play a conference championship game.
Team D does not play a conference championship game.

Finebaum said today that A>B and C>D. It makes perfect sense and is not hypocritical.

He's being inconsistent and no amount of re-framing the argument makes it look logical.

I saw the segment. PF clearly states that not playing in a conf championship game is a liability if you want to play in the BCSNC game (Baylor).

In '11, Bama didn't play in a conf championship game. At the time, this didn't seem to bother PF. Why it bothers him now is anyone's guess but he's moving the goalpost to suit his current views.
