I believe it. This team needs to win a championship, SEC or National. No excuses.

You can have all the talent in the world, as LSU has had before, but if you don't have a competent offense then you won't win championships.
Hopefully this Joe Brady guy is fixing the offense.
You mentioned fear. It's this coaching staff, as has been the case for many years now, that displays fear. They coach scared. Scared to let their quarterback make a mistake or take a sack. Scared to get blown out.
They play it safe. Playing it safe has never won championships. You have to take risks. The coaches and the players have to do their jobs with reckless abandon. In the case of the Alabama hump, if you get beat, who cares? You were likely going to get beat anyway so you might as well go down swinging.
Either way, I'm not too worried about it long term. Scott Woodward doesn't seem like the kind of guy that's going to put up with his coaches playing scared. The dude's a winner and has high expectations. We've heard things recently like, "it's not all about winning championships" and "midweek games don't matter".
Well, there's a new sheriff in town and he shoots from the hip at high noon.
