Anyone know if they made any changes for the college world series this year? As far as hitting a homerun every now and then.

I heard there was a proposal put out by baseball coaches but it has to pass a vote of college presidents to be implemented. In Omaha, the pitchers will have to move back to second base and the batters will be allowed to hit from the pitchers mound.
I don't know if I like that rule change. My seats behind the backstop won't be as close to the action any more.

Like LSU Hat said, the new ball will go into effect next season.
I wish someone would post the data involving the new ball. For some reason, it seems like the ball traveled (on average) an additional 15-20 ft. using the new ball.
