I certinaly think you are entitled to your opiinion. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and have probaly watched more sporting events on tV than you know existed. I wish you could tell the announcers that a cheering crowd does not get the home team excited. They are constantly talking about the hme crown being into it. For example, did you watch the NBA basketball game last night? How many times they made comments about the home corwd and how quiet they were. Last but not least I hve season tickets to most LSU games and am married to a former player. He certainly does not agree with your statement. Boring!Boring!

YOU call yourself an LSU baseball fan??? Give me a frickin' break. The noise level at Alex Box is part of what makes LSU baseball what it is today- we have the top baseball fanbase in the nation. The reason other schools in the SEC and also around the nation are building facilities for baseball and for the fans is so they can be like LSU and to make $$$ off of baseball. LSU baseball is the envy of the nation in terms of college baseball. LSU baseball is the equal to Kentucky in basketball- it is win right now, no rebuilding seasons and it's Omaha or bust. I happen to like our baseball program a whole lot. There is nothing quite like it in college baseball.
When you attend a sporting event, generally it is an event that you would expect there to be noise. As far as our players not liking the noise level, I 100% call BS to that remark. That is bullshite. The reason kids want to play baseball at LSU is as much for the winning atmosphere at the Box than anything. We have kids on the team right now that could easily be playing at Double-A or Triple-A or possibly the majors, but they chose to come to LSU to be a part of our baseball program and our fanbase.
ANYONE who does not want to enjoy the experience of LSU baseball at the Box should stay home, PERIOD. If you disagree with me, then I am sorry to hear that but I do think the majority of our baseball fanbase agrees with me.
Lastly, LSU does not have a problem with the noise or the "GEAUX-TIGERS!!!" chant. In fact, they were concerned that the new stadium might not have the same feel as the old Box. One of the guys on the field in the pregame ceremonies of the new Box was, you guess it- Chris Guillot. LSU wants him to be a part of the program and LSU wants the chants and the noise. If you don't, then I recommend that you not attend, because LSU baseball will be what it is with or without you in the stands.

It's not everyday that I get to say how I feel about LSU baseball. Other schools fans just don't understand LSU baseball and how seriously we take it.

If someone doesn't like the crowd noise then if you would kindly give up going to the ball park because its a tradition of the Box that it's going to be loud. By the way have you been to games at Ole Miss, Miss. ST., Alabama, Arkansas, Florida Tennessee, Georgia, Arizona St., Texas, Rice, Miami, Florida St., N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Georgia Tech or Tulane just to name a few. I guess not because if you want to talk about obnoxious sit near one of those cow bell ringers at a Miss. State game or one of those Roll Tide fans with an animal hat on head loaded with a beverage of his choice. I had relatives lately who played baseball for the tigers and they all said that's why they chose LSU over some other teams when deciding to play college ball. I also took a high school to a week end series at the Box and he was amazed at the tailgating and the noise level and said he felt like he was eating a five star outdoor eatery had the time of his life. There is always the noiseless sound of your TV and in your living room you can even turn off the sound. If you go to the Box make some noise, have fun and back the tigers.
