The schedule rotates.
LSU has it bad because of a permanent with UF and Bamer with a cake permanent in Tennessee.
It just happened to work out this way.
In '10, Bama had to play both Florida and South Carolina.
But more times than not, Bama gets off easy and has years when they play Kentucky, Vandy and Tennessee in the same year

2012 schedule was not soft except for out of conference. LSU Florida and South Carolina. Who did Bama play. Tennessee who have sucked year and year out since the end of Fulmer until now and Missouri. So we both play the division and we got Florida and South Carolina and they played the West plus Missouri and Tennessee. Next year they get off easier because we go to Bama and they still get Kentucky and Tennessee who will both be even worse since they will be breaking in new coaches "again".

Got this from another website....
Look who is charged with SEC scheduling.
Who is Mark Womack and why should we care?
Mark Womack is the Executive Associate Commissioner of the Southeastern Conference and has been at the SEC since 1978. In addition to his role as the conference's chief financial officer, one of his responsibilities in the league office is serving as the liaison to the conference athletics directors and working with scheduling for the sport of football.
Mark Womack joined the Southeastern Conference staff in 1978 upon graduation from the University of Alabama and has served the conference in numerous capacities ranging from Assistant Public Relations Director to Acting Commissioner.
While at Alabama, Womack worked in the athletic department's sports information office for two years before receiving his degree in Communications with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Promotional Management. Womack grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and attended Tuscaloosa High school where he was a three-year starter at quarterback, leading his team to the semifinals of the state championship his senior year.

This plus the fact that LSU has an absolute piece of carpet for an Athletics Director. He needs to go back to Duke and coach the LaCrosse team.

I'd rather go 10-2 with a brutal schedule than 12-0 with a weaker one. Like our 2011 schedule: Oregon, West Virginia, Bama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia—that's how a program like LSU should roll. If someone else gets their little crystal ball playing a weaker schedule, they can have it—just hold up your trophy and say, "Look at us, we won a trophy for playing 7 shitty teams this season!" frick 'em.

The scheduling was done using the regular metjhodology.
Nick wrote it down on a piece of paper, and gave it to Trixie his secretary who typed it up, had it notarized and sent to Slive.
Slive then takes the approved schedule Nick sent him, and puts it into the computer and then the master is sent to the members.
The next day it goes public.

it was my post. it did, indeed , contain offensive language. i'm not apologizing but i understand why it got deficationcanned (see, i can be nice).

At most, 4 teams like the status quo (Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia), and if the SEC moved Auburn to the east as geography dictates, two of the four teams would be removed from the equation. So if you think about it, the status quo is satisfactory for one team and one team only. This HAS to go national, and Alleva needs to push it. What's the SEC going to do to punish us? Make us play Florida AND Georgia? Put us in a shitty bowl game?
i agree with everyithing you say. so why aren't other schools complaining? LSU isn't the only school to get hosed. a&m/mizzou are too new to bitch about inequity; the not so good at football schools must be intimidated becasue they are usually "takers, instead of givers" as to sec money. maybe florida or usc will step up because they have great programs and also get tougher schedules. usc would have been 11-1 this yr if they had the easy ride bama (or ga) had. BUT, one year can be an abberation, TWO YEARS IN A ROW IS NOT. imo, the SEC may be turning into the big 12. i would like to hear an explanation of this by alleva and hell, by slimy slive also.

interesting that Spurrier has been bitching about this for several years, including commenting last week that the 2 schools with the easiest cross division schedule are in the SECCG. Next year USCe gets Miss State and Arky. Aggies get Missouri and Vandy.

That comment is downright silly.
He doesn't have to pay them. They are in his back yard. They do it for the love of the color crimson.
