LSU's backs perform well, because Miles is good at allowing all of his running-backs to develop on the field. Just wish he felt that way about his QB's.

some serious sensitive pussies in this thread

How does UGA have such superior RB's and Ohio Stae have such superior QB's on their rosters?

No doubt Chubb had the better season and it's not even close. But the way Fournette ended the season shows great improvement from the beginning of the season and he has the potential to be what Chubbb was this year in the SEC in the years to come - a game changing star. And I'm not sure what playing MSU has to do with anything. Both Ole Miss and GT had no problem running all over them.

But UGA does have a tendency to over use their guys and that should be a concern.
Um.. what?

You need him to win awards so you can feel good about yourself?

Wow I thought I was paying all that money to see us win. Thanks so much for setting the record straight. How many tickets do you have in Tiger Stadium?

Chubb got more carries because he didnt have 2 seniors, that have had productive years, in the rb corp.
Hilliard and Magee both deserved carries this year. No rb at UGA had dine anything to warrant taking snaps away from chubb.

Chubb got the ball A LOT. I wish we had given the ball to Fournette more.

Chubb averaged 7.1 ypc to LF's 5.5 . I do think having a qb that completes 68% of his passes compared to one that completes 49% tends to open running lanes a bit . You can't go wrong with either RB .

Chubb was provided more opportunities due to Gurleys four (4) game suspension that came in the middle of the season. Additionally, Michel and Marshall were injured and there were a couple of games, notably against Arkansas, where Georgia was depending solely upon Chubb to carry the ball.
Completely different situation than Fournette's, where you effectively had a healthy stable of four (4) backs (with exception of Hilliard at the end of the season) sharing the workload.

I wouldn't say superior running backs. The most recent RB that was effective in the NFL was Moreno and it took 4 seasons for him to develop.

I have no idea what it is with your RBs, but they are as injury prone as Alabama's. Hopefully Chubb can stay intact.

Chubb is pretty great in his own right and had a more productive season (with the caveat of course that he got more carries, faced some weaker run Ds down the stretch, and played in a more well rounded offense).
Both are really f'ng good. I was impressed with Chubb's ability to finish long runs, he reminds me of Jeremy Hill in that regard.
Buga just started coming into his own 3/4 through the year, starting with the UF game and he put up to great performances to end the season. He showed some major progression as the season went on. I think both will put up monster sophomore seasons. It's probably splitting hairs to say who is "better."
It ultimately doesn't matter, both are studs. If UGA fans want to think their guy is better I won't stop them If LSU guys want to think our guy is better that's obviously fine with me. I just hope we can find more ways to maximize LF's production next season.

Moreno still sucks arse. He had that one good year because of playing with Peyton Manning.
