Yeah, what's up with that? Are they still bitter about 2003?

I don't think it's necessarily uncalled for.

If anything, I think it'll get Tebow more fired up for the game. Either way, after this season I'm completely against injuries.
Put a hit on him as hard as you can. But to say you want to take him out of the game...
Not completely uncalled for, but still not needed.

Could you please go read the full quote. He was complimenting Tebow and fricking ESPN turned it into a trash/dirty talk. frick ESPN. I hope Miles gets on a press conference and burns their arse for completely turning the quote into BS.

Guidance from LSU to the players should be the simple principle: Regarding your opponents, do not say anything about them unless its positive and/or complimentary, then beat them on the field of play.

Guidance to Florida Gator Blog writers making up material about "interviews with LSU players" --> ESPN will take it as gospel and make a mountain out of a fabricated story.

You have to be careful not to take the Orlando Mullet Wrapper for gospel truth. I mean, some of the writers here are still writing their articles on Charmin.

I voted Not a Big Deal. Not much on the take him out comment, but I certainly agree with the second half of his quote:

quote:

"With his size and his heart, it's hard to get a clean shot...I think every lineman wants to get a good hit on a Heisman Trophy winner."

Nothing wrong with any of this, its all true!

It's dumb.
Great players let their play do their talking.

He put a bullseye on himself. Hope he's not Ramsey'd.

Nothing wrong with saying you are going to legally hit a player hard enough to take him out of the game?

Great Promo, nothing more.

This is why I don't care for LSU players to make comments like this. It may not be a big deal, but it certainly doesn't help. Now, any questionable hit will undoubtedly draw a 15-yd. penalty.
And why Saban didn't let players (And arse't coaches) speak to the press.

Another reason why the author, Fowler, ran this story with quotes twisted and embellished.

When players talk TOO much, it's a bad sign...that they know that their actual play is below their expectations...are you listening, RJF! Open mouth, insert foot! Sorry to say, I think we lose this one. Too much talking = poor performance! Les needs to regain some control...this is his weak spot as a coach....JMHO

I live here, and the paper is known as the "SunSensational". Would not be the first time a reporter from that paper left something out. I read the Palm Beach Post, better paper.
