Bass
Stringer
Turner
Warren
Hamilton

with O'Bryant, Hickey, Isaac, Ludwig, White off the bench shouldn't be TOO awful. Right?

Bass won't start.

ETA: Neither will Warren.

biggest key is actually having bodies in the post now. when storm is on the floor he'll be able to play and guard the 4. i saw malcolm white the other day and he looks bigger, if we get a solid 10-15 minutes a game from him off the bench i could see him having a nice role as opposed to having to start and play 20+ a night every game.

if turner stays healthy and hickey is good enough to earn solid minutes we could definitely have a 16-18 win season.

I'll bet you he does to start the season. Trent LOVES him some C-Bass and he isn't going to start a true freshman over a senior to start the season

i think they'll 'start' at least the first game and early on. they'll be the first five against nicholls. o'bryant and hickey need to be good enough to play big minutes as freshmen and they will.

you're clueless if you don't think Warren starts man... he isn't benching those seniors for true freshman unless they are being outplayed by SEC play

Yet he left Bass out of 2 or 3 games way too long when it was clear he could have a big impact (SEC Tournament last year).

I'm mildly excited for the season. Granted I'm not thinking about basketball at all. I just want competitiveness and some more wins in the SEC

Hickey
Stringer
Turner
O'Bryant
Hamilton

It won't take long for this to be the starting lineup.

right. obviously we're talking their starting line up from day one though. I don't have much faith in Hickey though. Too similar to the other guards we've gotten like him for me to buy the hype before seeing it for myself.

Hickey looked awesome in the scrimmages during the spring.

Excited about the season but after the article said:
quote:

Malcolm White (7.6 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.1 bpg), a 6-9, 220-pound fifth-year senior who started his career at Ole Miss, had a solid if not spectacular debut season with the Tigers in 2010-11.
I'm starting to doubt it's quality.

i can see that. just excited that we'll actually be able to play inside out for the first time in a long time. if we can get that ball into the post and they catch it it's going to be points. you get a big post presence and suddenly stringer is shooting from 20 feet as opposed to 30 ( ) that huge though, opening things up for those wings. if those bigs play as they're capable of, life will be a lot easier for stringer and turner out there.

I'v been told that in the pick up games he was WAY better than C-Bass. I hope its true but I want to see it with my own eyes first.

You went to the scrimmages?

So based on this thread, the LSU starting guards are at least better than players at the pickup rec games

Year in and year out its always the same 4 or so people in these threads...

Sad LSU Hoops can't pick up any new fans.
