I hope you're joking. I don't like piling on any LSU player but Jlee stunk it up against Oregon , Kentucky and bama.

Funny. Bill King made the comment this morning that Jefferson would of scored at least once during the Fla game with his feet or at least get us where we could score.

he's probably right. with our OL being decimated, jefferson could have picked up at least a few first downs with his legs. it's not like florida has a defense like bama last year.

Yep.

Jefferson fricking stunk it up in the BCSCG worse than Lee ever did.

This just isn't true.
1. JJ was playing against one of the GOAT DEFENSES and JLee had a horrible horrible game against LA Tech in 09 that dwarfs what jn did.

I wouldn't call Oregon "stink" at all, he had less than two weeks to prepare. I think most folks were satisfied that Lee looked pretty calm and didn't make any huge mistakes, considering the circumstances...

ironic...last year fans were saying Mett was clearly better than Lee/Jefferson and wasn't given a chance because of Miles playing favorites...Mett would have won the 1/9 game but Les stuck with JJ, now JJ would have won the Florida game that Mett didn't I love this place!!!

wow!! forelsu, you da man. of course, you are also why i love this place.

Actually, he didn't stink it up against Oregon. His stats weren't great, but he managed the game well and didn't make any mistakes.

Kentucky was JJ's first game back after his suspension. I imagine that Lee was tight and looking over his shoulder the entire time. He knew what was coming. The kid wasn't stupid. He knew that Miles was looking for the chance to give JJ the starting job back. Lee struggled against Bama and Miles had his chance to pull the plug. Lee never saw the field for any meaningful play after that.

Kentucky

Kentucky was the typical 11:30AM game after a big win sleepwalk. Virtually every LSU team that has played in this time slot hasn't played well.

The rest of the team was playin so damn good we didn't need to depend on Lee. Lee had the easiest frickin job in the world and when the team finally needed him he crumbled in the Bama game.

Holy shite this guy can't be serious. Maybe you need to go back and see some highlights from JL from 2011.

I expected the worst vs UO and was pleasntly surprised.
I thought JL and JJ did a pretty damn good job until facing elite D.....I'd say Lee 0-1, JJ 1-2
Lee looked good vs UF, but vs LSU they were nowhere near their final total D rank of #8, so I really can't count that effort as elite. And of course 11-5 was a fail.
JJ went 1-2 vs elite Ds, getting a pass on 11-5, failing SECCG (#5D) and NCG.
Both JL and JJ's performances vs lesser Ds in '11 looked much better than this year's squad vs similar or even weaker defenses.
Of course the supporting casts have a lot to do with this.

Seriously. Why are we still arguing JJ and Lee. Met will end up better. But if obvious D and special teams ain't gonna make it as easy in the O as last season. The line in banged up. And this is the SEC

You see, there is this thing called "rationalization" - a bunch of people cannot forgive Miles for not being his predecessor. They disliked the hire, "Okie State's coach?", and so desperately want to be right that they are patiently awaiting the collapse. It almost happened in '08/'09, but it didn't.

NOW at the absolute summit of idiocy, fans of one of the best teams in the country, with a coach who has accomplished more than all, save arguably 1 of his peers, over the past 5 years (you know, the period where he had "his" players) is slammed, once again, for losing a football game. In Gainesville. In a game where we had the ball with a chance to prolong the game late in the 4th quarter. Against the now #5, undefeated Florida Gators.

THAT is justification for an inordinate amount of criticism.

This team is not the same without Tyrann Mathieu. Losing Faulk and Blue didn't make that situation any better. However, this team will still win 10 games, perhaps 11. Other than Les Miles, NO other coach in history has made that kind of season seem to be no big deal. Is it time to consider that perhaps Miles is a victim of his own success?

Not that it matters. Our receivers have the hands of a barn.
