I love, love, love LSU,BUT, Ego and Freak are not ready for the NFL. I also don't think our RB's are really ready.

Seriously, this guy is right. Jeremy Hill is NFL ready, but he could use another year. Mike D has said several times that Ego and Freak need to come back.

Regardless if they needed the money or not, staring at millions right now sounds so much better than a whole other season risking injury. Some players make a good choice and come back and eventually get paid more, others leave and get paid now but less. All of us would be hard pressed to wait an extra year if you could leave now. Quit trying to look at it in the sense that you want them to come back.

That being said ego and freak had pretty rough year and I hope they do comeback and prove they are who we thought they were lol

Don't know how they would get drafted 1st or 2nd round based on production. Another year would hopefully fix that

The defensive tackle position was an enigma this year. There were lofty expectations that they didn't quite live up to this year.
How much better will they be next year?

How much better will they be next year?? I am not sure. Past history though shows great improvement from one year to the next.

If they come back, they can really make a name for themselves and the team ... And raise their stock considerably with NFL scouts ... They could enter the NFL with a lot more respect from the pros ... Ego and Freak, stay!

IMO if freak comes back he needs to regain some of that weight he lost. He gets flushed out of plays too easily.

Watching the replay of game now and they are not disruptive enough.

Gameplan was for them to play contain. Hold down the middle. aTm's lack of rushing success means they did pretty good

Teams draft on potential and how players project in the NFL. Production is not that important.

Anthony Johnson will be back.

He has proven this season that he is way too soft for the NFL.

IDK, I honestly don't think Ego goes, he doesn't strike me as that person and he is nowhere near what Logan did last year. Freak to me seems like he would not go unless he was first round. It actually makes a lot of sense for them to stay and for Freak, the difference could be 15-20 mill (bonus included) and 8-10 mill (bonus included) for Ego.

This isn't a dying for them to come back post, they just don't strike me as guys who would leave after having bad seasons. Second round 6 mill or top 10 pick, 25 mill?

I think they need to come back for a couple of reasons.

1) Leaving early hasn't helped quite a few former players. From not being drafted (Michael Ford, although he'll be a good one anyway) or brief or non-existent stints with teams (e.g. Sam Montgomery).

2) To get better/enjoy LSU/try to win a championship. This seems non-existent on mostly everyone though.

They wouldn't be getting millions if they declared for next year's draft, so yeah they really do need to come back for another year. One or both of them could be signing for Mingo-type money if they wait a year to work on their craft, which is way more than they could be looking at as a 3rd round pick. Even with the rookie scale there's still a significant difference.

If someone told me I had to take one LSU lineman for my NFL team right now, it'd be Danielle Hunter, not Ego or Freak.

The new/now johnny-come-lately so-called Tiger fans don't really give one hardy flip about LSU! Their agenda is not the same as real Tiger fans. For these phony fans, it's all about their guys getting the money as soon as possible so they can blow it on drugs and shiny cars...the hell with the school called LSU. But it's the same story at all colleges today...reference the LB from our most hated rivalry...where the University, the NFL, and society are left holding the shite bag!

Every player is now looking out for his own personal self interests over the team and the school. Going in the 5th round is now considered a meal ticket when in Reality that money will be gone in 5 years. It's ludicrous .

PnG glasses off, neither has shown nfl readiness this year. They been very poor at disengaging a block and have lost the one on one battles on the reg.

I think both could use another year and if either does declare, they will be looking at no higher than mid 4th. Then theyll have to make the roster and at this point they would look foolish facing nfl level talent.....esp an nfl starter.

Is what it is....

Have they both reached their ceiling? They have been in the system for what 3-4 years already. I would like to have seen at least some improvement from last season to state otherwise.
