wtf kind of damage would Lee have done?? he was 4-12 with an INT. how many 3 and out drives did we have to start the game.

I'm sure you were saying similar comments at halftime of the Troy game. Lee also had a good comeback against Auburn.

Dude...he would have put up more pts than 3. He's been doing it all year. Yes, he throws picks, but he's still a better qb right now.

He's also had some semblance of a running game. There was none today. He would've been fricked.

lets see... Lee played the entire game vs Tulane 8/20 <100yds 1td/1int. with LSU rushing for 200+.

this is the same qb that had the majority of the snaps in games and practice all season.

and lee was supposed to improve this game? 4-12 49yds 1int.

Atleast we know who Byrd wants throwing him the ball. He hasn't tried this hard all year.

I have thought this all year about Byrd. He is just going through the motions. That "overthrown pass" in the Troy game would have been a spectacular TD catch last year.

I didn't mean to...just figured Lester had his facts straight. Nonetheless...6 points in nearly 30 min doesn't cut it, either. Name me a game where Lee only drove us on one scoring drive.

oh i'm not really on JJ's side in this debate. i just didn't understand why earl, volvagia, and now you were only giving jefferson credit for 3 points.

In the Troy game, we were averagin 3.1 YPC, and relied mostly on our passing game for the comeback.

Name me a game where Lee had such an ineffective running game to support him. Our o-line was flat out dominated today.

Lee has been helped out by the running game all season. pass protection all season has been great too. entering today he was sacked only 7 times.

Do you honestly think lee is going to be a better starting quarterback for lsu the next three years than jefferson?

He could have been easily 7-12 or 8-12, but his WRs were dropping passes everywhere. Byrd was extremely disappointing.

Way too early to take either side in that argument.

The running game has been nonexistent against:

Florida
Alabama
Georgia

and these are the games you are going to knock him for.

there is stupid, preconceived notio nthat the running game has been good this year. Yes it was good at the beginning of the year against Appalachian State, AU, and Miss. St., but not recently.

oh, and haha.

he should have been at least 5-12 with a TD and 89 yards passing. too bad Byrd dropped a perfectly thrown ball.

Scott had 12 yds and 1.2 ypc today, Keiland had 2.5 ypc, Murphy had 2.0 ypc, Quinn had 0. Scott had 90 yds (3.8 ypc) against Troy, Keiland had 4.0 ypc, Quinn had 2.3 ypc. Our running game was significantly more effective against Troy.

what about the end of the drive after Lee got hurt that led to a TD??? You are retarded if you don't think that JJ was impressive tonight. What about all of the dropped balls??? Not to mention the fact that Crowton had him handcuffed as he has done to Lee all year. The thing I liked about JJ the most was the fact that he looked really comfortable throwing over the middle. I did not find myself gasping for air like I did when Lee would throw out of the pocket. Not to mention the fact that JJ could scramble a lot better. If you don't think that this position is JJ's now, I don't know what to tell you.

that is true, it was an exaggeration for argumen't sake there on the Bama part. but still, UGA and UF, there was no running game. same for Troy. they didn't do shite in the first half.
