Came across this article, the last update appears to be 11/11

Although I thought Jackson outplayed KT,I thought Toliver would be the better pro prospect.

Interesting concerning scouts thinking Toliver is playing out of position a lot here and that Jackson is being reported as having discipline issues. They had Jackson as the 8th rated draft eligible and KT as the 14th rated

quote:

Donte Jackson*, CB, LSU
Height: 5-11. Weight: 175.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2018): 2-3.
11/11/17: Kevin Toliver II was the more-hyped cornerback entering this season, but Jackson has been the better player this season. He doesn't have Toliver's size, and that makes Jackson more of a nickelback in the NFL. Jackson is extremely fast, however, so he will be a good corner to lineup against smaller speed receivers. He is athletic to run the route and prevent separation, but he is a gambler, so he could stand to play with more discipline for the pros. Scouts tell me that Jackson is talented, but has a ton of discipline issues to work on, and that might include some hard lessons versus pro receivers.

Jackson has 31 tackles with seven passes broken up in 2017. As a sophomore, he totaled 39 tackles with eight breakups and two interceptions. Jackson notched an interception, 26 tackles and two breakups in his freshman year.

Kevin Toliver II*, CB, LSU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 193.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2018): 2-4.
11/11/17: Toliver has 24 tackles with two passes broken up and an interception this season. In speaking with scouts at multiple teams, Toliver is a bit of a love-hate prospect. Some sources are very down on him as they say he has first-round talent, but that he doesn't play up it or work to maximize his ability. Toliver gives up too much separation on a consistent basis. They are critical over his lack of instincts as well. Others like him and feel that he is being played out of position. They say that he is a press-man corner and that LSU is putting him in off-man coverage way too much.

Toliver was held out for Week 1, but LSU wouldn't clarify if it was because of suspension or injury. It sounds like it is more likely to be the former. With how Toliver is playing, he is likely to be a second-day pick or a mid-rounder rather.

9/1/17: Toliver impressed as a freshman and sophomore. Considering the amount of talent the Tigers' secondary has produced, it is a serious statement that he played immediately at LSU. In 2015, Toliver had 35 tackles with five breakups and an interception. As a sophomore, he totaled 21 tackles with one breakup across seven games.

The 6-foot-2, 193-pounder is a big corner who can run. Team sources have said Toliver has a first-round skill set.

In the sentence, considering the “discipline issues” comment is followed by:
quote:

that might include some hard lessons versus pro receivers.

I’m betting they mean something about technique or eye-discipline. Not off the field issues.

The discipline issues being referenced are related to Jackson's play on the field, not his behavior off of it.
