What about ole Doug? He’s probably not interested in a college job, but I don’t see him getting a head coaching job in the NFL anytime soon.

I actually would not be displeased at that.

Coaches who don’t turn out to be all that in the NFL, and he’s actually not that bad, end up being pretty good college coaches.

I threw this idea out yesterday and got a bunch of "wut"s..

I like the idea of at least interviewing him (if we even fire CEO).

I mean the dude won a super bowl, could definitely spice up the offense with better run plays and blocking, and he's great with QB's. Not to mention his family grew up in Shreveport (despite traveling around for his Nfl gig's once they were in HS)

I love him.

But I will be damned if we should experience with an unproven top level college coach.

Program management, teaching, recruiting are all specific skill sets.

Chris Petersen maybe but not Doug. Hugh fukin Freeze would kill it here. Give him a few years and this guy would be awesome

I would support it if he wanted back in.

Anyone know anything about Greg Roman? It's clear that Harbaugh's record is not the same since Roman joined his brother in Baltimore. I don't believe he has ever been a head coach though.
